Nice!
I like the first one, where was it taken? Very nice.
Brian,
The first one is a sculpture down by the river (on the city side). Rachel told me what its name is and who the artist was, but I forgot. I’ll get the info from her and post it later.
I finally remembered to get the info from Rachel.
Rail Wave
Artist: Christopher Fennell
Chris Fennell’s organic forms are site specific, created from materials that have been discarded by the society in which he is located. For this sculpture, Chris utilized trees that had fallen in the local area. He split the trees and then crafted the wave on site near the Chattanooga Aquarium. The railroad ties are angled slightly so that they appear to converge on to a distant vanishing point. For more of Chris’s organic sculptures, visit his website: http://www.cfennell.org.
