Well, my site (and everybody else I host) has been up and down since about 3:45 p.m. today. The DNS service we’re using, EveryDNS, is experiencing a major denial of service attack. Up until about two hours ago, I had just decided to wait it out and see if it got resolved … but things keep going up and down, so I’m in the process of moving my DNS stuff to another provider, to ensure that my clients have their site up on Monday. Ugh … there goes another Friday night!
Edit: If you’re looking for info on EveryDNS, like the umpteen of you who saw this post in the time since I posted it … check #everydns on oftc.net; things are getting better now … though apparently some people still can’t hit the DNS servers they have up.

Yes, yes, I know. If you know me, you now that I hate the new addition to the Hunter Museum here in town with a passion. It looks like some kind of ugly, festering cancerous growth that sprouted from the side of the original mansion and now threatens to consume the mansion itself (with the help of the Communist-style wing on the other side).
Poor Ross Faxon (the dude who had the mansion built in the first place) is probably rolling in his grave as a result of the desecration of his old home.
But … I have to admit, it’s growing on me … though only at a rate that will make it qualify as ‘tolerable’ in my mind by, say 2076.
And … it looks pretty cool at night.
